Interested in CLASS lab?
Dr. Kois is interested in working with students who are excited (really, really excited) about clinical and forensic psychology.
Doctoral students
The University of Alabama's Clinical Psychology PhD program accepts motivated scientist-practitioners interested in both research and clinical work. I am a core faculty member of our program's Psychology-Law concentration. Our faculty specialize in clinical forensic psychology and provide our students with rigorous forensic research and clinical training. I am interested in working with doctoral students who are curiosity-driven, exceptionally enthusiastic about research, and just cannot get enough of forensic assessment.
Undergraduate students
I am interested in working with undergraduates who want to learn about forensic psychology, are flexible, and have a strong work ethic. Undergraduates eligible for CLASS research assistant positions have completed PY 101, have at least a 3.5 GPA for the two most recent semesters, and can commit two full semesters to the lab. I prefer students who are psychology majors and have completed PY 211, 355, and 356.
Undergraduate, post-bac, and Master's level RAs begin CLASS by volunteering for one semester for five hours per week. If it is a good fit, I hope you will join us! If they like, CLASS undergraduate research assistants may begin to receive PY 451 credit their second CLASS semester.
If you are interested in applying, please complete the undergraduate research application here and email a copy of your unofficial transcript(s) to Dr. Kois at lekois@ua.edu.
